Mid-Nite Bourbon

Outlaw blues from Tacoma

Mid-Nite Bourbon is a Tacoma-connected power trio pushing blues, classic rock, and outlaw-country grit through a Pacific Northwest lens. The official EPK frames the band as Brian Olver on guitar and vocals, Jesse Turcotte on bass, and Devan Bland on drums: a lean three-piece built for high-energy rooms, heavy grooves, and top-shelf live sets.

Band lore

Mid-Nite Bourbon sits right in the Jesse Turcotte Tacoma orbit: Jesse holds down bass here while also driving PRETTYFUNKDUB and playing in other PNW projects. The band’s public story starts in early 2022, with the official EPK saying it was born from a need to move blues forward while keeping the classic power-trio tradition intact. South Sound Blues Association listings confirm the Spanish Ballroom / Tacoma connection and name the lineup clearly: Brian Olver on guitar and vocals, Jesse Turcotte on bass, Devan Bland on drums. Older Washington Blues Society coverage adds the origin detail: the trio formed after nights at Purdy’s blues jams in Sumner, with Brian tied to Palmer Junction and Boogie Chillin, Sean Peabody noted as an earlier session-bassist collaborator, and Devan connected to Punish the Scribes. The current version is sharp and simple: Brian’s expressive guitar leads, Jesse’s low-end pocket, Devan’s steady drive, official SoundCloud tracks, and live Spanish Ballroom videos that make the case better than a polished bio ever could.
